Athlete, inventor, scientist, professional musician, entrepreneur and author. A Doctor of Mathematics and Oceanography, Tom invented a technology to convert energy in ocean waves into electricity (more info about that on the link below).
In 2012 (at the age of 50), Tom embarked upon a charity run around the world to raise money for Oxfam. The run was expected to take just over 18 months, and cover 26,000 km.
In this Podcast, Tom talks about his record-breaking adventure, overcoming injuries, enduring extreme temperatures and a near death experience.

Nic talks about the origins of her running group and how she has built it into a National Membership of thirty six thousand people. She explains her motivation for starting the group and why it has been so well received and adopted. She explains how she balances her busy lifestyle, training, RMA and kids.
She shares motivating stories of women from the group and explains how RMA serves to support Mum’s from anywhere in Australia to reach their goals.
Nic chats about her upcoming events in New Zealand and talks about other projects she is the ambassador for.

Matt is joined with Michel Haenggi to interview ultra-marathon runner Scotty Hawker.
The International Trail Running Association rates Scotty in the top 6 of NZ trail runners. Scott completed his first marathon when he was just 17, since then he is a regular top 5 finisher in 100km races around the world.
As a Coach for Mile 27, Scotty shares a lot of knowledge and advice in this interview to anyone interested in improving their performance. Below is a snapshot of his results.

Matt is joined with Matt Sheather (Strava Matt) to interview the Race Director of the Royal Challenge, Steve Southwell.
Steve talks about growing up in the Sutherland Shire and being active in local Surf Clubs and the Cronulla Triathlon Club. He chats about his family’s long association with the tri club and how his father Bob didn’t start racing until he was in his late 50’s and went on to race in Hawaii’s Ironman and dominate his age group for the next twenty years.
Steve talks about the race he started called the Royal Challenge, now in its eighth year, the non-profit event has raised one hundred and eighty thousand dollars for children’s charities.
He shares the challenges and learnings he has made as an Event Manager, including some funny stories about participants sneaking a beer in between legs.

Matt is joined with Paul Hadfield to interview dual Olympian and four times Com Games track runner Eloise Wellings.
Eloise shares her incredible journey over the past twenty years, in which she has competed in two Olympic Games and Four Commonwealth Games. During that time, she has had her fair share of injuries, including eleven stress fractures in ten years, consequently she had to wait twelve years from when she first qualified for an Olympics to when she could compete in Rio in 2016.
In a very open interview, Eloise explains how she overcame these injuries and managed the disappointment of the setbacks along the way.
We chat about her transition into the Marathon for the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year and what the qualification criteria is.
She shares some valuable training advice to minimise injuries and tips to assist with recovery after races.
As the co-founder of the Love Mercy Foundation, Eloise talks about her charity that assists communities in Northern Uganda to overcome poverty caused by war.
