Matt is joined by co-host Paul Hadfield to interview Peter Hadfield, dual Olympian and Com Games Silver Medallist.
Peter won a total of nine Australian Championships in Athletics between 1976 and 1985. He was the best decathlete in Australia for ten years from his first nationals win in 1976, when he broke the Australian record, until he retired after the National Championships in 1985.
Peter takes us through his race preparation before Olympic events and talks about the importance of simulating the event in training to minimise surprises on race day.
He gives us some insight into the metal strategies allowing him to compete in ten events over two days.
He talks about the prevalence of performance enhancing drugs in his era and the systematic doping programs that were happening not only with individuals but whole teams.
He chats about his relationship with notorious Australian Athlete and convicted drug smuggler Reg Spiers.
He jokes about being an unknown athlete in Australia and the only autograph he signed in his ten year career was for a lady in LA who mistook him for Christopher Reeve!

Matt interview's Andrew Lloyd, Olympian and 5000m Com Games Gold Medalists about the glory days. Andrew talks about winning the City 2 Surf four times, winning the Melbourne Marathon three times and winning the Gold Coast Marathon after a big night out.
He takes us through a typical training week which included 200km's. He discusses his race preparation and strategy and shares advice to improve performance.
He chats about his competitors, Australian greats Robert de Castella and Steve Moneghetti and how he had it all over them when they raced on the track.

Matt and Danny interview special guest Gerhard Van De Venter, also known as Zulu.
Zulu grew up in South Africa, he was running 48 seconds for 400m and 1:52 for 800m when he was given a Scholarship in the US at the age of 18.
He takes us on his jurney to the US and talks about migrating to Australia. There's some great running advice and plenty of humour.
